Choristers join Music Soceity Choir in Mass of the Children

Senior Choristers from the Cathedral Choir will be joining the massed forces of the Chester Music Society Choir in the cathedral on Saturday 7th May, 2011 at 7:30pm as they present Poulenc’s Gloria and Rutter’s Mass for the Children. The Rutter is written for an adult mixed choir, children’s choir, soloists and orchestra. The text is taken from the Latin Mass augmented with suitable English texts.

Chester Summer Music Festival, 2nd July 2009

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Chetham’s School, Manchester, the girls’ and boys’ choir will be joining Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the Chester Bach Singers for a performance of Walton’s popular, rousing and extrovert ‘Belshazzar’s Feast’, conducted by David Hill.

The concert will take place in the Cathedral on 2nd July at 7.30 P.M.
